1. Purpose
These terms of use govern access to the DartSync site and its use. Using the service means accepting them.
2. What the service is
DartSync is a scorer for darts, used in a browser. It lets you set up a game of 501, 301 or Cricket, share a link with other players, and follow the score in real time across several devices.
3. Access
The service is provided free of charge, with no registration and no commitment. No feature is paid for. A support button may link to a third-party donation platform: such a donation is optional, gives nothing in return, and unlocks no additional feature.
Access needs an internet connection and a recent browser, the cost of which is the user's. The publisher may at any time change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service, in particular for maintenance, without notice and without compensation.
4. No account, and game links
The service has no user account. Each game is identified by a link containing a random identifier: anyone holding that link can view the game and enter darts in it. It is up to whoever creates a game to share the link only with the people they choose.
5. What is asked of the user
The user agrees not to:
- enter, as a player name or in any other field, anything abusive, defamatory or hateful, or anyone else's personal data without their agreement;
- disrupt the service, in particular by mass automated requests, an intrusion attempt or the exploitation of a flaw;
- reach games they were not invited to, or try to guess game identifiers;
- reproduce or reuse the site's content beyond the personal use allowed here.
Where these terms are broken, the publisher may delete the content concerned and block access to the service.
6. Intellectual property
The site, its interface, its text and its source code are protected by copyright. These terms confer no ownership of the service: only a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right of use is granted, for as long as the site is used.
7. Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”, with no guarantee of continuous availability, of error-free arithmetic, or that a game's data will be kept. The publisher cannot be held liable for:
- an interruption of the service, or the loss of a game's data;
- a dispute between players about a score on screen — where a score is disputed, the one on the board prevails;
- damage to property or injury to a person during a game of darts, the game being played on the players' own responsibility alone;
- what users type in, player names in particular.
8. Personal data
How data is handled is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be changed at any time. The version that applies is the one published on this page, whose update date appears at the top. Continuing to use the service means accepting the version in force.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by French law. Any question may be sent to contact@dartsync.fr. Failing an amicable resolution, a dispute falls to the competent French courts.
